Govt gives nod to India-Pak cricket series

New Delhi: The Union home ministry has given a green signal to the proposed India-Pakistan cricket series in this December.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in July sent an invitation to Pakistan Cricket Board for an ODI and T20 tour in December this year. PCB on the other hand, welcomed the proposal of BCCI and was eagerly waiting for home ministry’s approval over it.

As now Central home ministry has given the green signal for the tour, India and Pakistan will play ODI and T20 series after a gap of five years. Indian Government had decided not to play cricket with Pakistan after the 26/11 terrorist attacks on Mumbai.

This tour will start from the December and it will end on January end. The One Day Internationals will be played at the venues of Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata. And the two T20′s will be played at Bangalore and Ahmadabad.
