Kalyan: Needy and poor people in Kalyan and Dombivali will have to wait more for their houses as there is an alleged corruption is happening according to a RTI activist.
RTI activist Suresh Jadhav alleged that there is a corruption which has happened at Kalyan-Dombivali in the Slum redevelopment Authority which was supposed to build 13,000 houses for these needy and poor people. This project costs around Rs 654 crore.
Slum redevelopment which was being built under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission supposed to provide houses in Ambedkar Nagar at Dombivali. Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan is going to inaugurate 235 houses on this Tuesday which were built up in the first phase of this project.
Jadhav tried to get the information regarding this project, but he said that corrupt municipality officers have refused to give him the necessary information. And that is why Jadhav filed a PIL in Bombay High Court.
When we asked KDMC commissioner Ramnath Sonavane about this, he said that, “I don’t know about this incident, but I will personally look into the matter and will take a strict action against the officers who refused to give the necessary information.”Jadhav is claiming that his PIL has the sign and stamp of the KDMC commissioner’s office and still he’s denying the fact that he doesn’t know about anything is very suspicious. This denial of KDMC Commissioner is raising too many eyebrows and questions still arises that why KDMC officials are not giving proper information regarding this project. This chaos is not at all helping these poor and needy people of Ambedkar Nagar of Dombivali.
