Maharashtra News: The Tiger which is the identity of Shiv Sena and which was sketched by late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray himself is now going to get a tough competition in the form of Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s lion. On Friday, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation’s (MSRTC) employees staged a protest march, which was supported by MNS. The attraction of that protest was the poster of Raj Thackeray which was merged with an image of roaring lion.
According to the sources, these posters were shown to Raj in his house when MNS senior leaders had their meeting on Thursday. He approved those posters. Meanwhile Raj Thackeray is thinking about making the roaring lion as the logo of his party.
The relation of roaring tiger and Shiv Sena is since 1960, when Shiv Sena’s office was in Dadar east and Bal Thackeray used to live in Dadar West.
After the release of Salman Khan Starrer movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, Shiv Sena also made posters of Bal Thackeray naming them ‘Ekta Tiger’ (Lone Tiger) and now it looks like MNS is trying to copy the same concept.
Seven years back, Raj left Shiv Sena and incorporated his own party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. Since then, the progress graph of MNS is ascending. When MNS started to take the issue of Marathi Manoos from Shiv Sena, it was being said that the MNS is stealing the issue of Marathi Manoos from Shiv Sena. MNS always tries to give tough competition to Shiv Sena in the elections.
