Uddhav set to be Shiv Sena president

Mumbai: It late Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray’s birth anniversary on Wednesday and on the same day Shiv Sena’s executive president and Thackeray’s son Uddhav is set to formally take charge of the Shiv Sena. Also Uddhav’s son and Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray will also be appointed as Shiv Sena leader.

The meeting today of Shiv Sena will be attended by the party legislators and senior leaders as it will also deciding the strategy and preparations for the 2014 elections. Shiv Sena’s top leadership will be getting the responsibilities for the elections.

Last week Uddhav was confident that he would take the party one step ahead than his father and late Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray. Uddhav had said, “I am Balasaheb’s son. He brought the party to this level. I assure you that I will take Shiv Sena one step ahead than my father.”

Uddhav had further said, “Some people are saying that Shiv Sena will end. But it’s not going to happen as me and my party colleagues are not going to sit quiet till it is taken one step ahead.”

Uddhav also mentioned that it was Shiv Sena who opposed the visit by Pakistani women cricket team in India and it also protested the participation of Pakistani players from in Hockey Indian League. They are brutally killing our soldiers and still we’re ready to play with them?
