Maharashtra News : The owner of leading coaching classes ‘Chate’ was seized for ill treating a 17 year old HSC commerce student. Machindra Chate (48), the owner of Chate Coaching Classes, was booked for violation under Section 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage modesty of woman) and Section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) following a complaint filed by the victim with Bhoiwada police on Thursday.
According to the sources, a meeting was held at the coaching classes on Wednesday between Chate, parents and students as syllabus was undone and examinations were near. After the meeting, the victim, an HSC Commerce student, followed by two girls and a boy, went to Chate’s cabin to discuss the same issue where there was a heated argument between the owner of the coaching classes and the students.
During the verbal spat, an infuriated Chate irrelevantly got physical with the girl. After which, the girl along with two girls and boy went to the police station accompanied by her parents.
At Bhoiwada police station, Inspector D B Ingale informed that, Chate surrendered to us today. He was produced before a local court which detained him to judicial custody. Later, he was granted bail by the court for Rs 15,000.
