Mumbai/Pune: The traders strike against LBT is getting more intense. On Wednesday, the President of Federation of Associations of Maharashtra (FAM) Mohan Gurnani announced at a press conference that, they will undertake Jail Bharo agitation against the Local Body Tax (LBT) on Thursday.
The traders are striking against the LBT from past 24 days. The discussions over this issue are turning unproductive. Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is adamant over LBT, due to which the traders are getting more aggressive.
Therefore, the traders Committee has decided to go on an indefinite strike and the markets will be shut down from today. Except the Milk Dairy and the medical stores, all the shops will remain close.
The common man will have to face the brunt of this protest.
