Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt surrendered himself on Thursday before the TADA Court. He spent his Thursday night in Arthur road jail. While it is still uncertain whether Dutt will be shifted to Pune’s Yerwada Jail or will face his jail term in Arthur road jail.
The sources informed that, Dutt has to spend his Friday night in the Arthur road jail due to incomplete documentation.
Dutt, who was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blast case, surrendered himself before the TADA Court on Thursday. Later he was taken to Arthur road jail. When Dutt reached the Arthur road jail, at 9.45pm Doctors conducted medical examination.
On Friday morning Dutt had his breakfast from 6.30am to 7.00am which included one banana, milk, Shira and Poha.
The actor was convicted by the TADA court for illegally possessing a 9 mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle, which was part of a consignment of weapons and explosives, brought to India for coordinated serial blasts that killed 257 people and injured over 700 in 1993. He has already undergone imprisonment for one-and-a-half-years.
